Capturing the Beauty of Parenthood, Learning, & Life.
Publications
I might have been born with a pencil in my hand.
Ok, not really, but writing has always been one of my greatest passions, and I have worked hard to make a career out of it.
While, currently, my primary focus is teaching and tutoring, I am also widely published in a variety of online and print media. My articles have been featured in many animal-related and parenting publications, including Horse Illustrated, The Morgan Horse Magazine, Dressage Today, Mamalode Magazine, Chronicles of the Horse (Untacked), Young Rider, Scary Mommy, and more. I also contribute to my local and regional magazines and newspapers.
Here you’ll find samples of just some of my published work:

I started Frantic Mama from humble beginnings in 2011, and with zero advertising dollars, I built it into a recognizable Motherhood/Humor brand with thousands of active followers and monetized sponsorship deals. Check out http://www.FranticMama.com for more of my Motherhood/Parenting work with a splash of irreverent humor.
One of my articles was picked up by Australian magazine, HorseWyse.
A popular article I wrote for HorseChannel.com that was later shared in Horse Illustrated magazine, was the MOST popular post the month it was posted online.
I’ve enjoyed writing several science-based parenting topics for Parent.co, which was recently acquired by Mother.ly.
Screenshot from Mother.ly of an article I wrote about the Bechdel test, gender stereotypes, and female leads in movies.Much of my parenting writing has been featured by Mamalode, both online and in their beautiful print magazines.
Most recently, in 2021, I started a blog for my children’s school, which has been very rewarding.
